With the Iditarod race going on between March 1 and March 16, we thought it’d be fun to share some wild facts about “The Last Great Race on Earth” before diving into this month’s updates:
Did you know?
- Nearly 1,000 Miles: Mushers and their teams trek across Alaska’s frozen wilderness in one of the most demanding endurance races in the world.
- Average Completion Time: Most teams take about 9-12 days to reach the finish line in Nome, Alaska, battling snowstorms, freezing temperatures, and rugged terrain.
- Fastest Finish Ever: In 2021, Dallas Seavey shattered records (and his own), finishing in just 7 days, 14 hours, 8 minutes, and 57 seconds!
Just like a great sled dog team, we’re here to keep your home running smoothly, no matter the conditions outside.

Why Do People Call Toilets “The Crapper”? 🚽
During World War I, most toilets in England were manufactured by Thomas Crapper & Co. Ltd. Their name was prominently displayed on the fixtures, catching the attention of American soldiers stationed in Europe.
Amused by the branding, U.S. troops began referring to the toilets as “Crappers”.
When they returned home, the nickname stuck—and over a century later, it’s still a part of our slang for the bathroom!
